She could be facing hard time.
Convicted transgender bank robber Jimmy Maurice Lewis II was arrested over the weekend for knocking over a Mississippi bank on March 22. She also appeared to have been fresh off getting a nose job.
Lewis first gained notoriety in 2008 when, according to prosecutors in Alabama, she planned to rob banks to finance a sex change. AL.com covered the trial 11 years ago, and wrote that Lewis reportedly held up a teller at the Alabama Credit Union where she demanded $20,000, but made off with less than half that amount.
She reportedly warned a bank teller, “Don’t move or she’s had it.”
Lewis was sentenced to 51 months behind bars and probation for that heist after unsuccessfully arguing her legal representation was inadequate.
It’s unclear how much cash Lewis allegedly made off with after robbing BancorpSouth in Gulfport, Miss., last month, where she made her getaway on foot, according to the Smoking Gun.
Police searching for a “female in her late 30s” arrested Lewis last weekend in Texas, where she’d just returned from Mexico, according to the Smoking Gun.
A mugshot of Lewis showed her nose framed by surgical tape. She also sported a new hairdo.
Lewis is currently jailed in Houston and is expected to be extradited to Mississippi to stand trial.
