Firefighters rescued a two-year-old who had become stuck in a 20-centimeter gap between buildings in Guiping City, southern China. The child had been trapped in the gap for nearly an hour when firefighters from Guigang arrived on the scene. A hole was knocked in the wall and firefighters were able to free the child. While the cold weather posed an initial health risk for the child, they were described as in good health in a January 11 update from the the Guigang Fire Department.
