A Florida couple who won a “Win a Baby” radio contest in 2017 welcomed their first baby boy after receiving in vitro fertilization treatments.

According to Fox 4, radio station B103.9 held a ‘Win a Baby’ contest in which the winner would receive a round of in vitro fertilization treatments with the required medication along with it.

After winning the contest in 2017, a Cape Coral couple was able to start their own family.

According to the report, the couple’s only option for having a baby was the expensive IVF treatment after Anthony Rivera was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

“When we thought we couldn’t have a baby, it was crushing,” said Anthony’s wife, Krista. “Without the contest, we definitely would not have been able to have our dream of having a baby.”

The couple’s baby, Garrett, is now 3 months old. According to Fox 4, one in eight couples have trouble getting pregnant.

“It’s so worth it so keep fighting. I know it’s hard it’s never easy but it’s worth it,” Krista said to Fox 4.

According to Fox 4, the ‘Win a Baby’ contest lives on. This year’s couple, Vy and Chris Nguyen, said they are going through the fertility treatments right now and hope to start their own family soon.
