A 48-year-old man was arrested last week for driving his Segway under the influence in Davenport, according to a report by WFLA, a NBC news affiliated station serving Tampa.

Andy Sigears was sent to Polk County Jail on Wednesday and faces a DUI charge, according to Polk County Sheriff’s Office

Sigears was released Friday after paying the $1,000 bond.

Sigears was driving a Segway Wednesday night east on Dunson Road near a PCSO substation, WFLA reported.

A PCSO lieutenant stopped Sigears and noticed he smelled like alcohol, to which Sigears confessed he drank two bottles of wine, WFLA reported.

Sigears blew samples .243, .220 and .238 on a breathalyzer test, the report showed. The legal limit of blood alcohol concentration while operating a vehicle is .08.
