Clarese Gainey is not afraid to use a bat if she has to.
The 65-year-old Gainesville resident proved that Sunday morning when she defended her property from a would-be robber, according to WGFL, a CBS affiliate serving Gainesville.
Gainey heard a noise outside of her apartment and discovered a man trying to break into her car. She grabbed her bat and told the man to leave.
The man, Antonio Mosely who is 300 pounds, charged her at her.
But to his surprise Gainey stood her ground and took a swing at his head, according to WGFL.
Mosley was arrested by Alachua County deputies two hours later with a gash on his head and with cocaine in his possession.
