A motorcyclist who became trapped under an SUV in a highway crash in Reno, Nevada, was freed thanks to the help of several members of the public.

Police said the motorcyclist struck the back of a pickup truck and lost control while traveling along Interstate 80.

The motorcyclist and a passenger were thrown off the bike, and the motorcyclist slid under an SUV that was passing in an adjacent lane.

Four Good Samaritans helped lift the SUV, allowing a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper who had arrived at the scene to pull him free.
