Macomb County, Mich. — A boat rage incident on a Michigan lake has resulted in the arrest of the drunken operator involved.
According to WXYZ in Detroit, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department arrested 39-year-old Timothy Kennedy of New Baltimore on June 29.
The arrest occurred shortly after cell phone video taken by the victims showed him using his small, aluminum speed boat to circle and ram the back of another boat at full speed on Lake St. Clair.
Kennedy can also be seen yelling at people on the rammed boat and giving them the middle finger. He was arraigned Monday on charges of operating while intoxicated and malicious destruction of property, according to the TV station.
He was given a $5,000 bond and is due back in court on July 15.
According to state records, Kennedy previously served time for second-degree criminal sexual conduct in 2011.
