When Bo Rodriguez woke up in the wee hours of the night last Tuesday, he thought the raccoons he was hearing were getting hurt.
“I got up to see if the animals were okay cause the screaming was terrifying,” Rodriguez said. “They were jumping from the ledges of the pool and even from the rocks of the pool.”
While it’s hard to know for sure what the late-night creatures were doing, surveillance video from Rodriguez’s backyard shows the raccoons seem to be enjoying their own pool party. Four raccoons can be seen jumping into the pool, playing with one another and running around the pool’s edge.
Rodriguez said the late-night visit only lasted about 15 minutes until a neighbor’s dog scared the raccoons away.
