Any cop can sit in his car and answer calls- the best tend to dismount and partake in community policing.

Such was the case with one New York police officer in Rochester, who not only got to interact with members of the community in his patrol network, but also got a little exercise in as well.

Officer Colin Blind managed to blindside a local youth while playing street football, managing to make his way to Barstool Sports.

“We have a victim down,” the sports page wrote,” “With a loss of ankles.”

RPD Deputy Chief Scott Peters was more than happy to praise Blind for his proactive policing practices.

“Our own Officer Colin Blind, taking some time between calls, to build relationships,” he wrote. “This is what we do, every day!”
