The internet thinks Cinderblock is the cat’s meow — no matter her size.
The 25-pound feline’s quest for fitness, documented in a series of viral videos, has charmed those across the internet who are similarly less than keen on getting in shape.
A short clip shared earlier this week shows the gray domestic short-hair doing the bare minimum on an underwater treadmill and glaring at her cheerleaders.
“You working out?” a vet can heard asking the cat, who responds with a long and cranky “meow.”
Her caretakers have since created a YouTube channel called “Cinder Gets Fit” to keep all of her fans up to date on her workout journey.
In a video shared to the page Friday afternoon, it appeared that Cinderblock had been feeling a bit more enthused about getting in shape.
The latest clip shows her with all four paws on the moving track — unlike in the first video, where she uses only one.
A caption beneath the 7-second clip explains that Cinder was relinquished to Northshore Vet Hospital last week by an owner who was no longer able to care for her.
“Many people have wondered why Northshore is subjecting Cinder to the underwater treadmill,” it reads.
“The water provides a reduced weight-bearing environment that increase functional use of limbs without marked weight loading and resultant discomfort to joints. She’s sill in the process of becoming acclimated to this treadmill and the water level is lower than we would like just so she can become used to the process.”
The Northshore Vets previously described Cinder as a “morbidly obese cat who is now on a weight reduction program.”
