A California police officer had his snack break interrupted by an adorable bandit — and the footage is too cute for a crime show.
Shane Brashear, an officer in North Bay, was eating brownies when a raccoon suddenly approached him on two legs, bearing no hostility and reaching out with his arms.
“What do you want?” he asked. “Want to eat brownies?”
After being taunted with the brownie to confirm Brashear’s suspicions, the frustrated raccoon eventually began to paw at the officer’s leg before scurrying off.
The behavior, it seems, is pretty normal.
“We never try to harm [the raccoons] and always give them something if we have it, so they are used to humans and will sit wait and ‘ask’ for food like in the videos I posted,” Brashear told the British tabloid Daily Mail.
The footage was originally taken in October of 2019.
