“Let me see your hands,” officers shouted as they arrived at the scene of a break-in in Lupkin, Texas.
But rarely has there been less of a chance of the suspect complying. It was, after all, a deer.
According to Lufkin Fire and Rescue, officers arrived at the home at 6:10 am. They found a smashed window and what sounded like an intruder moving around inside.
Officers entered with guns drawn, only to discover a four-legged suspect. It was time for shooing, not shooting.
Footage posted to the Lufkin Police & Fire Facebook page shows the mayhem in the house as officers tried to get the panicked deer out the door.
Police said the only injuries to the officers or the deer were minor cuts from broken glass.
