It was a nightmare before Christmas, as one family’s holiday cheer was shattered by a shocking crime.
When New Mexico deputy sheriff Shane Ferrari was the first to discover an elf was brutally murdered, his cop instincts woefully lead him to the family dog as the main suspect.
“I’ve been a cop for 20 years, and I’ve seen a lot of ugly, gruesome scenes, but this was probably the worst,” said Shane Ferrari. “I looked into Josie’s eyes, I saw nothing but guilt. It was sad.”
To his surprise, Ferrari’s Facebook post reached 375,000 within the first 24 hours so he decided to keep the community updated about the investigation as it unfolds.
“In the mean time, Josie Ferrari is being held without bond as investigators paw through this nightmare on Christmas.”
