Two police officers with Lufkin Police Department in Lufkin, Texas, were the heroes of the day recently when they saved the life of a kitten that got stuck up a tree. The Facebook page for Lufkin Police & Fire shared bodycam footage from one of the officers, showing them respond to the call about a kitten stuck “roughly 30 feet up in a tree.” The police department wrote that another kitten stuck alongside the one saved had fatally fallen before the officers arrived. In the video, the officers used a blanket kept in their vehicle to catch the kitten once it fell from the tree. It was immediately soothed with some cuddles from the nearest officer, and delivered into the care of Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter in Lufkin.
