A 9-year-old boy was injured when a bounce house he was in blew away, rolled onto Highway 395 and struck a vehicle Saturday afternoon.

Reported at 3:12 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Highway 395 and Bartlett Avenue after the bounce house blew away from a residence in the 18200 block of Delicious Avenue.

According to authorities, a 9-year-old child was inside the bounce house and fell out “after it had rolled onto Highway 395 and struck a vehicle that was traveling south.”

The child, who suffered from minor injuries, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, but authorities said they were “shook up from the ordeal.”
