A Mendocino man exposed himself to residents of at least two homes in southeast San Jose before being arrested by police Thursday night, authorities said.

Surveillance footage captured at least two separate incidents where 60-year-old Mark Veregge walked around the neighborhood naked and knocked on the front door of a home on the 3600 block of Meadowlands Lane, according to San Jose police. He allegedly looked into a window and fled the scene.

He was arrested on suspicion of three counts of peeping and prowling, said Gina Tepoorten, a San Jose police spokeswoman.

Veregge wore a dress and approached another home on the 3300 block of Meadowlands Lane, where he knocked on the front door, exposed himself and then left, according to San Jose police.

The incidents took place between Feb. 15 and March 5, authorities said, and it is unknown if there are any additional victims.

Veregge previously lived in San Jose, Tepoorten said. In 2017, he was arrested on one count of prowling.
