Suspects accused of stealing guinea pigs, throw one at shopkeeper to escape

Two young women attempted to steal guinea pigs from a Kentucky pet store, eventually lobbing one of them at the shopkeep during an escape attempt.

Isabelle Mason and Jaime Pack, aged 21 and 19, respectively, were trying to leave the store when Pet Paradise owner Scott Gonyaw noticed two guinea pigs were missing.

“Give me the guinea pigs,” he demanded as they left.

Following them to the parking lot, Gonyaw found himself injured after the two women ran his foot over with their car, tossing a four-month-old guinea pig names Lucky onto the pavement in the process.

While Lucky is uninjured and Gonyaw suffers minor bruising, the real concern surrounds the missing rodent.

According to ABC, Danville Police charged the women with robbery, shoplifting and animal cruelty.
