“Trainsgiving”: Video of Thanksgiving dinner on NYC subway goes viral

Add “Thanksgiving dinner” to the list of crazy things seen on the New York City subway.

In a video posted Sunday night that is now making the rounds on social media, a group of people can be seen on a Brooklyn-bound L train feasting on an early Thanksgiving meal.

Plates of turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce were being passed around onboard, according to NBC New York.

One subway rider told NBC New York she got on the L train at Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn when she saw the elaborate meal taking place.

On social media, some people were worried about sanitation. MTA trains aren’t always the cleanest.

“Kind but gross,” one Twitter user wrote.

But it doesn’t look like that stopped these riders from getting into the holiday spirit. Whether the whole thing was a stunt or a genuine act of human decency, let’s just hope someone brought hand sanitizer.
