A Houston woman is facing a felony charge after she allegedly stomped on a man’s pet rabbit until it died.

Lucienda Stebbins, 20, was arrested May 19 and charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals, according to court documents. Stebbins is accused of killing Jesus Treto’s white, five-month old rabbit by stomping on it, court documents show.

Stebbins also allegedly threw a kitten while drinking MD 20/20, a fortified wine, according to officials with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

Officials with the Animal Cruelty Unit of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office are in charge of prosecuting the case.

Stebbins made her $2,500 bond, court records show. An arraignment was originally set for Tuesday but was reset for July 16.
